Ada J. (Pretti) Souza, age 97, died Feb. 12, 2013, at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was the devoted wife of the late Augustine Souza. Born in Plymouth, April 30, 1915, she was the beloved daughter of the late Olindo and Rita (Fantoni) Pretti. She was educated in the Plymouth School System and in her youth had worked at the Plymouth Cordage Company. A lifelong Plymouth resident, Mrs. Souza was a devoted homemaker, caring for her family. She was the loving mother of Richard Souza of Michigan City, Ind., Gloria Timm of Laporte, Ind., Carol Souza of Middleboro and Cheryl English of Michigan City, Ind. She was the cherished grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 15; and cherished great-aunt of Michelle MacFarland; and great great-aunt of Corey, Jourdyn, Nicholas, Breeanna, Mickayla, and Kamrin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will take place Monday from the Cartmell Funeral Home at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Marys Church in North Plymouth, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plymouth.
