Cecil passed away peacefully at Marin General Hospital, Greenbrae, California, with her devoted daughters at her side.

She was born in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, the fifth of seven children. After High School, she graduated from the Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh as an R.N. The alumnae of that hospital had continued to remember her on her birthday and at Christmas.

Cecil enjoyed playing golf and bridge in her earlier years in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she spent all of her married years with her husband, Thomas E. Francis, who died in 1969.

She belonged to the Civic Club of Harrisburg since 1937, becoming an honorary member in 1987. Cecil continued her membership in Zion Lutheran Church in Harrisburg from 1928 until her death.

She is survived by her daughters, her son-in-law all of Kentfield; her grandchildren and their spouses, and a favorite niece, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Her three great-granddaughters, will also miss their beloved GG.

Graveside Services are planned at Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill at a future date.
