Walter N. "Skeeter" Harvey died Thursday morning at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Butte on July 19, 1928, to Norman and Inez (Casper) Harvey. He attended Butte schools.

Walter served his country in the Navy. He enjoyed wood-working, cribbage, crossword puzzles and horseshoes.

He worked as a laborer for the Anaconda Co., Metro Sewer and City of Walkerville.

Walter married Joan Arrigoni in St. Lawrence Church on Sept. 6, 1956.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Susan Harvey, Port Orchard, Wash., Wayne and Heidi Harvey, Sumner, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne Harvey and Jim Eamon, Des Moines, Wash.; grandchildren, Matthew Harvey, Holly Harvey, Tabitha Harvey, Mercedes Harvey-Eamon and Austin Marshall; sister-in-law, Margaret Arrigoni; nieces and nephews, Frank and Raelene Harvey, Victor Harvey, Jimmy Harvey, Danette and Dick Fitzpatrick, Jim and Cindy Arrigoni, Paul and Patty Arrigoni, Dan and Jackie Arrigoni.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Harvey, sister-in-law Alice Harvey, grandson Spencer Eamon, nephew Robert Harvey, brother-in-law John Arrigoni and half brother Henry Goldsworthy.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are noon Monday in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Arbaugh officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials: Highlands Hospice or charity of the donor's choice.
