Ivah M. Gannon, 88 of Greenville died February 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Fair Oaks Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held today (Tuesday) at Calvary Temple Assemblies Of God in Greenville, with the Rev. Eugene Dayka officiating. Interment was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Mrs. Gannon was bron May 28, 1899 north of Pocahontas to John and Julia A. (File) Lutz. Her first marriage was to Goerge Hagler. They later divorced. Her second marriage was to Ray Gannon September 4, 1926 in St Louis. He died January 28, 1972.
Survivors inclued a daughter, Cleda Mounger of Greenville; brother, Loyd Lutz of Alhambra; a grandson Larry Mounger of Normandy; two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers John and Charles; sisters, Ella Markey, Goldie Rench, Bessie Green, Bertha Sapp, Edith Gowen, Nina File and five brothers and sisters in infancy, Ruby, Nellie, OLive, Willie and Ruth.
She atteneded Mt. Vernon school and worked at the Glove Factory and in various restaurants, becoming the owner of South Avenue Cafe in Greenville.
She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assemblies of God Church wich has been designated as a memorial.
