Anne Orgain Rudolph, age 89, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Uffelman Estates in Clarksville. he was born in 1923, the daughter of William Edgar Orgain and Emma Lee Hudgins Orgain in Clarksville, TN. She attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College and was a graduate of Vanderbilt University. She was married in 1944 to Charles Buford Rudolph, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Rudolph and her husband were both lifelong residents of Clarksville, and also members of Madison Street United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Willard Blue Bible Class, the United Methodist Women, the Altar Guild, and co-chairman of the church archives. She also was associated for many years with the annual church bazaar. Mrs. Rudolph is survived by a son, William Buford Rudolph and wife Dale of Clarksville; a daughter, Susan Rudolph Birdwell and husband Don of Nashville; four grandchildren, Kathryn Birdwell Hubbuch (Frank), Rebecca Birdwell Romine (Zach) of Franklin, TN, David Rudolph (Kristine) of Atlanta, GA and Carrye Rudolph Cost (Nick) of Cincinnati, OH; also eight great-grandchildren, Hannah and Grayson Hubbuch, Cole and Mason Romine, William, Margaret and Avery Rudolph, and Charlie Cost. Services will be held on February 15, 2013 at 2 p.m., at Madison Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Cliff Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Friday at Madison Street United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be John Rudolph, Wade Rudolph, Bill Harpel, Phil Harpel and her grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Willard Blue Bible Class and members of the Rebekah Group of United Methodist Women. Memorials may be made to the Madison Street United Methodist Church, 319 Madison St., Clarksville, TN 37041; Habitat For Humanity, 404 Madison St., Clarksville, TN 37040; or to the charity of one's choice. The family wishes to express their sincerest appreciation to Mary Birdwell for her longtime care, devotion and friendship, and to Lillian Cheatham and the employees of Uffelman Estates for their kind assistance.
