Charles T. Caldwell Sr., 60, of Springfield died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1938, in Barbourville, Ky., the son of Robert C. and Roberta Woolfork Caldwell Sr. He married Frances M. Thomas in 1958 in Petersburg.
Mr. Caldwell was employed with the state of Illinois and was a member of New Life Worship Church and Labor Union Local 477. Survivors: wife, Frances M.; two sons; two daughters; nine grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
