Research finds WILLIAM MARTIN LOHR arriving in the United States in 1866. Most records finds he went by his middle name of MARTIN. The 1900 census reveals he is Naturalized, indexed born in the month of June. However, looks to be January by the family. He worked as a Day Laborer and Farmer.
According to his death record found in the Parke County Death Book D9, page 33; MARTIN LOHR of Rosedale, died on December 22, 1934, at the age of 92, in the Parke County Infirmary, TB Sanitorium, of Senility. He was widowed, his father was listed as LOHR born in Germany; mother was unknown.
Believe he only married once, to Martha Anna Reimenchneider, about 1867 in Chicago, Illinois where we find the family in 1870 census year. Anna stated in 1900 that she is the mother of Five children and only two survived. Other than those linked below; ONE other child is known listed on the 1870 census, Anna Lohr, born about 1867 in Illinois. She did not come forward with the family in 1880 census year as a girl of 13.

The body was removed to the Cox and Cottrell funeral home here and was taken to the home of the son Sunday morning, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
