Mr. Frank Wilson Crawford, of Weaver Ave, Kalamazoo, Michigan died at his home 28 January,01990. Mr. Crawford was born on 21 December 1907 in Pemberville, Ohio, the son of Henderson and Anna (Forrester) Crawford. He graduated from Bowling Green (Ohio) State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master of Science in Education. He first taught in Lima, Ohio and then in Aliquippa, PA before becoming principal of Monaca Pennsylvania High School in 1958, and from which he retired in 1967. He was precede in death by his wife Virginia Fuller in 1983, who also retired from Monaca High as librarian in 1968. Surviving are 3 nephews and 4 nieces: Kenelm and Armour Winslow, Harry L (Tulsa) Crawford, Anne (Bainbridge Island), Louise (Austin), Vivien Crawford (Mrs. Harry) Fisher of Boca Raton, Florida, and Nancy Crawford (Mrs. Hugh C) Laughlin of Bloomington, IN; 2 sisters-in-law: Anne Verne of Kalamazoo and Pauline (Mrs. Harry L) Crawford of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also surviving are 19 great nephews and nieces and two great grand nieces. Mr. Crawford served in the European Theatre of WWII as direction-finder in field artillery in 1943-44. He belonged to the National association of High School Principals, the PA Association of School Retirees, was a life member of the Beaver County Retired Public School Employees Association, and the Aliquippa Lodge #1221 Order of Elks. He was an ardent fisherman and hunter and belonged to a number of hunting and conservation organizations in PA including the Beaver Valley Bucktails. Mr. Crawford and his wife resided in PA for 40 years before coming to Kalamazoo. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Crawford will be cremated. Memorial services will be announced at a later date when the ashes will be inurned in the Columbarium of the First Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, The American Cancer Society or the Kalamazoo Nature Center. Arrangements by Langeland Memorial Chapel, 622 South Burdick Street.
