MOREHEAD - Larry Lovas Beamon, Sr., age 61, of Christy Creek, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born August 9, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is the son of Avelean Blevins Beamon of Clearfield, Kentucky, and the late James Alford Beamon. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Orville Beamon, and one sister, Joyce (Jack) Beamon.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dianna Rose Miller Beamon, whom he married on March 6, 1982; three daughters, Angela (Keith) Hemphill, Lisa Tidwell, and Mickey Beamon, all of Brooksville, Kentucky; two sons, Larry (Melanie) Beamon Jr. of Brooksville, Kentucky, and Travis (Krissy) Beamon, of Morehead, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, James Lawrence Scolf, Michael Shane Tidwell, Ashley Dawn Tidwell, and Kayla Hope Hemphill.

Other survivors include three sisters, Barbara Ann (Corlis) Higginbothan and Betty Lou (Charles) Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Linda Sue (Gary) Luckett of Louisville, Kentucky; five brothers, Roger Dale (Donna) Beamon of West Liberty, Kentucky, James (Kathy ) Beamon, Douglas (Phyllis) Beamon, Bernard (Kim) Beamon and Dennis (Belinda) Beamon, all of Morehead, Kentucky; two very special friends, Tim James and Christopher David Beamon; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was a former employee of International Harvester in Louisville, Kentucky, and a member of the Berlin Baptist Church in Bracken County, Kentucky.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Richard Engle officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Josh Gulley, Josh Hamilton, Rob Hamilton, Elmer Polley, Tim Hardy, and Jason Figgins.

Visitation was Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
