Andrew Mostek was born 26 Sep 1853 (headstone states 1848) in Stare Zukowice, Poland. His father was Joseph Mostek, son of Paul Mostek and Agatha or Anna Malec *. His mother was Sophia Kielbasa, daughter of Jan (John) Kielbasa and Agatha Zaraza.

Andrew married Marianna Lis on 8 Nov 1876 in Stare Zukowice. Marianna was a daughter of Martin Lis and Catharina Wielgus, of Jadlowka.
