Marie L. Babcock, 92, formerly of 4541 Illinois Avenue, Peoria Heights, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, at Lindenwood Health Care Center.
Born March 23, 1900, in Wabash, Indiana, to Lloyd and Crissida Rouse ENYEART, she married Roy C. Babcock on August 25, 1930, in Peru, Indiana. He died January 1, 1981, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Surviving are one son, Mike Ulrich of Peoria; one brother, Stephen ENYEART of South Carolina; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Olivet Missionary Church, its Come Join Us Club and played the piano at the church for 55 years. She was past president of the Women's Missionary Society and was active with the Sunday school program and Vocational Bible school for many years. She was a musician for the church services at Lindenwood Health Care Center for the past four years.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at her church. The Rev. John Warren will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary and one half-hour before the services at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to her church or St. Thomas Church Building Fund.
