HERMAN LAMMERS IS
BURIED HERE MONDAY

Herman Lammers, 83, former West Pointer,
who died Friday at the home of his daughter
Mrs. Felix Bruckner at Platte Center was
buried her Monday. Funeral services were
held at Platte Center in the morning and
and a short service was held at the grave
here with Monsgr. Bosheck conducting.
Interment was made at St. Michael's
cemetery.

Herman Lammers was born in Holland, a son
of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Lammers. He came
to America as a young man coming to West
Point. His parents came in 1883, and the
family resided in this city. October 25,
1883, he was married to Miss Gertrude
Welding of this city and they made their
home her.

Mr. Lammers operated a wagon shop here
for a number of years then moved to
various towns in the state, living at
Platte Center and Orleans each for several
years. Mrs. Lammers died five years ago.
Eight children had been born to them,
seven of the surviving their parents.

The surviving children are John and Fred
Lammers of Omaha, Herbert Lammers of
Dallas, Texas, Ben Lammers of San Diego,
California, Mrs. Bruckner of Platte
Center, Mrs. R. Stroh of Hooper and Mrs.
Tillie Hardin of Indiana. John, Mrs.
Stroh and Mrs. Hardin were were here
for the funeral rites. Mrs. Bruckner
was unable to come on account of illness.

There is also a sister surviving, Mrs.
F. L. Boyer of this city.


Herman J. Lammers was born in Mar 1856 in NETHERLANDS. He immigrated in 1864. He appeared in the census in 1900 in HERMAN LAMMERS CENSUS. HERMAN died on 21 Jul 1939 at the age of 83 in NEBRASKA.

Death of Mrs. R. Stroh's Father Occurred Friday

Mrs. R. Stroh was called to Prairie Center last week by the serious illness of her father, Herman Lammers, 81 who passed
away Friday morning, July 21, after being ill only a few days.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Platte Center at 9 o'clock on Monday morning and the body brought
to West Point for interment in the family lot in the West Point Cemetery.

Mr. Lammers was preceded in death by his wife about 5 years ago. Four sons and three daughters, including Mrs. Stroh survive.

He was buried in ST. MICHAEL'S CEMETERY, WEST POINT, CUMING COUNTY,NEBRASKA.

HERMAN J. LAMMERS and GERTRUDE WELDING were married. GERTRUDE WELDING was born in May 1865 in GERMANY. She died in 1934 at the age of 69. She was buried in ST. MICHAEL'S CEMETERY, WEST POINT, CUMING COUNTY, NEBRASKA.
