Services for Edith Abston, 74, of Slaton will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Englunds Funeral Service Chapel with Tommy Hicks, minister of Southside Church of Christ in Lubbock, officiating.

Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery.

She died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999.

She was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Swenson. She graduated from Peacock High School and moved to Lubbock in 1946. She lived in Levelland until 1974, and she worked at B&M Trim and Glass as an upholstery seamstress until her retirement in 1993. She moved to Slaton in 1993. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Rick of Slaton; a brother, William Rice "Trigger" Trammel of Aspermont; and two grandsons.
