Mrs. Emma M. (Arsenault) Newman, wife of Joseph Newman, East Britannia Street, passed away Saturday night at her home after an illness of six months. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, but has made her home in this city for the past 40 years. Mrs. Newman is the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Arsenault and was well known and loved by a host of people with whom she came in contact. Mrs. Newman was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Besides her husband a daughter, Mary Newman; four sisters, Mrs. Maud Boucher and Mrs. Adeline Arsenault, both of North Attleboro, Mrs. Ely Theriault of Taunton and Mrs. Edward Babineau of Gardiner; four brothers, Theophile and Wilfred of Fall River, Harry and Thomas survive. Several nephews and nieces also survive.
