Funeral services for Carl William "Bill" Freeman, 48, native of Texhoma who died Wednesday afternoon at his home, 314 Main. after an extended illness, will be conducted from the Methodist church, Texhoma, at 2:30 p.m. Friday Rev. Earl Burris, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Texhoma Cemetery under the direction of the Dawson - Welch Funeral Home, Texhoma. Born Dec. 4, 1909, in Texhoma, Freeman was the son of the late Carl and Bessie Freeman. He was married to the former Miss Gwin Petty in 1937 at Midland, Tex. Survivors besides his wife include, a daughter, Millian Lynn Freeman, four sons, Carl W. Freeman, jr , Terry Ray Freeman, Phillip Neal Freeman and James Thomas Freeman, all of the home; three brothers, G. G. Freeman, Jerry L. Freeman, both of Texhoma, and Ray L. Freeman, Anaheim, Calif. The body will lie in state in
the small chapel of the Methodist church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Before his death, Freeman requested that contributions be made
to the building fund or the Christian Social Relations fund of the
Texhoma Methodist church, instead of sending flowers.
