Joby was the beloved husband of Lynette (Godwin), father of 3 young sons, Joseph, David and Michael and a daughter Madeline. He was the son of Joseph Wellington Adams, Sr., and the late Julia Elizabeth Averitt Adams and brother of Spencer Adams. Joseph was a beloved school teacher at Southern Pines Elementary School and minister of youth. Joseph was playing ball with his children in the yard when he collapsed. His family attempted to resusitate him, but he passed away at the hospital. He is deeply missed and loved by so many.
