In 1850, William was living in Middleton Township with his second wife, Celinda White,who was born in Michigan in 1816, and they had Edward (1848), Charles E.(1850), Guy(1851), Helen (1853), and John Fremont (1855). Celinda had married William on 27 December 1846 in Lucas County, and died between 1855 and 1860. For his third wife, William married Frances Husted on 27 March 1860 in Wood County, and they had a daughters: Celinda (1861) and Olive (1869). At the age of 78, William died of consumption. William was the son of Samuel H. and Hannah Race Ewing who died of Maumee Fever in 1822.
