Mrs. Arilda Abston, whose residence was about two miles south of Loxa, passed away Sunday afternoon at 4:05 o'clock in Memorial Hospital, where she underwent Saturday afternoon late, an operation for intestinal trouble. She had been ill for about three weeks.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the family home, with Rev. and Mrs. L. J. Kindig in charge of the service. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery, southeast of Mattoon (Coles County, Illinois).
Mrs. Abston was born in Hutton township, near Diona, December 12, 1865, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Decker. Sher was married in 1882 to Henry Abson.
Mrs. Abson leaves her husband and five chldren, Mrs. Jennie Pearson of Pleasanton, Neb., Mrs. Lucy Hawn of Neoga, Mrs. Artie Moulton of near Mattoon, Miss Sallie Abston and Henry Abston, at home. She also leaves three sisters and two brother, Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers and Mrs. Warren Decker of Diona, Miss Jane Decker of Charleston, James Decker of near Neoga, and John Decker of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
