Clarence Calloway Nunn and Maggie Wade Nunn Parker were not children of Payton/Peyton and Elizabeth Langston Nunn. They were the children of Calvin Calloway Nunn and are linked here in error. Payton was already deceased in 1893 and was not on the 1900 census. Roda Elizabeth Langston Nunn would have been about 63 years old when Clarence was born and about 68 hears old when Maggie Wade Nunn Parker was born.

Payton is also found as Peyton in several records (census, Madison Co., GA marriage record, Tax Digests, Tax Assessments, Georgia, Returns of Qualified Voters and Reconstruction Oath Books, 1867-1869, etc.)

• The Atlanta Constitution with Payton/Peyton's obit is dated Wed 21 Jun 1893. His given name is misspelled.
• The actual obit starts out as – Rutledge, Ga., June 20 (Special.) … was found dead yesterday morning and he was last seen on Friday night at 12 o'clock.
• This would make his date of death between Friday 15 Jun 1893 and 19 Jun 1893.

Peyton Nunn married Elizabeth Langston on 16 May 1839 in Madison County, Georgia.
