ELMWOOD -- Thomas F. Ramsay, 64, of 304 N. Magnolia St. died at 8:14 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 1994, at his residence.
Born Aug. 17, 1929, in West Frankfort to Thomas and Ada H. Casson Ramsay, he married Joyce Porter on July 6, 1952, in Elmwood. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Thomas of Elmwood and David of Carbondale; four daughters, Barbara Mitchell of Sidney, Ohio, Kimberly Runyon of Brimfield, Brenda Bender and Donna Porter, both of Elmwood; two sisters, Marilyn Stewart of Elmwood and Betty Snider of Saratoga, Wyo.; and 12 grandchildren.
He worked for Pabst Brewing Co. in Peoria Heights for 19 1/2 years, retiring in 1978. He then worked for Brimfield School District for 10 years, retiring in 1991. He served in the Army from 1947 to 1950. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Patterson Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Blasing will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
