He was a retired foreman at Glascocks and had lived in Muncie most of his life, thought he was born in Hillsboro, Ohio. In his younger years he played semi-pro baseball with Muncie teams.
Mr. Stethem leaves two brothers, Homer of Mishawaka, and Claude H. of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Lessie Roads, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Max Smith of Center Chapel EUB Church officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday.
