Agnes H. Smith, 88, passed away Monday at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Agnes was born in Mansfield, OH, the daughter of Gertrude (Willenborg) Lamb and Lewis L. Lamb. She was the eldest of 11 siblings. She was raised in Lansing, MI, moving to Muncie in 1937 and worked 20 years at Ball State University Dining Services, retiring in 1983 and she was a member of Jehovah's Witness.

She was a loving mother and cared very much for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Agnes is survived by her children, Ellen Hummel (husband-Ronald), Yorktown, Archie Smith (wife-Gloria), Brazil, Richard Smith (wife-Carol), Muncie, and Margaret Smith, Muncie; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Archie Smith.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, with Kevin Spurgeon officiating. Burial was held in Hawk Cemetery.
