Dora E. Blackburn
Cornelia, GA -- Dora E. "Lena" Blackburn, 82, of Chenocetah Drive died Wednesday, Sept 15, 1999, at a private nursing home.
Born in Habersham County, she was a member of the Cornelia First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school department secretary for more than 35 years. She was retired as office assistant with Fleming Wholesale Company.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late William P. and Bessie Stephens Blackburn. She was preceded in death by tow sisters and four brothers and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, by the Dr. T. Logan Smith; burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted. The family suggest that memorials be made to the Cornelia First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 96, Cornelia, Ga. 30531.
