"Mrs. Viga Verona Lewis, 78, whose home was at 405 N. Dean Street, Centreville, died early Tuesday morning, December 31, 1968 in the Three Rivers Hospital, where she had been admitted Thursday. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was born in Centreville, June 12, 1890, a daughter of William H. and Amanda M. (Wagner) Acker. She had resided her entire live in Centreville.

Miss. Acker was married October 2, 1907 to Frank T. Lewis, in Centreville. He preceded her in death in February, 1941. She was a member of the Centreville United Methodist Church, the Centreville Grange, No. 1440, and a charter member of the Eloise Club of the Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy M. Lewis, in June, 1937.

Funeral services will be held in the Rexrode Funeral Home in Centreville, at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Rudy A. Wittenbach, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie River Cemetery."
