Bernard C. (Bunk) McDowell, son of Charles A. and Louise E. McDowell, was born at Zebra, Missouri, December 29, 1919, and passed away at his home, Lake Ozark, Missouri, September 23, 19796, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 25 Days.

On October 11, 1940, he was united in marriage to Lois D. Russell and to this union one daughter was born. All of his life has been lived in the Lake community. A number of years ago he professed his faith in Christ.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Lois, of the home, Lake Ozark; 1 daughter, Brenda Crandon of Bolivar, Missouri; three brothers, Malcom McDowell, Kaiser, Missouri, Delmar McDowell, Camdenton, Missouri and Gail McDowell of Everett, Washington; 3 sisters, Beulah Bowlin, Sanger, California, Louise Mawyer , Linn Creek, Missouri and Vera Rainwater of Linn Creek, Missouri; 2 grandchildren, Chandra and Russell; mother-in-law, Mary Russell of Lake Ozark, Missouri and father-in-law, Art Russell of Eldon, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 1976 at the Georgia Wade Chapel of Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Clevenger officiating. Interment was made in the New Hope Cemetery near Kaiser, Missouri. Pallbearers were Bob Williams, Carl Williams, Stanley Baker, Raymond Bond, Jim Franklin and Bob Gregory. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
