Ronald James Easterday, 67 years old, of Cleveland, Georgia (formerly of Elyria, Ohio) passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Easterday was born on May 2, 1943 in Oberlin, Ohio to the late James and June Hange Easterday. He was a veteran of the United States Army, member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Cleveland, Georgia, a member of the VFW and was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Klein and brother, Richard Easterday, and his niece, Mary Beth Easterday.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Roberta (Bobbie) Easterday (nee Hintz) of Cleveland, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shannon Hintz of Gainesville, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Richelle (Rickie) Nix of Pineville, Missouri; June and Jason Turner of Cleveland, Georgia; sister, Patty Kendle of Dacula, Georgia; brother, Dennis Easterday of Elyria, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jim Klein and sister-in-law, Margaret Easterday.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio 44035 from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 12 noon followed by mass at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio at 12:30 P.M. with the Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, officiating. Burial, with full military honors provided by the VFW, Post 1079, will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
