9) Etta Mae Morgan (twin); b) Apr 29, 1886; d) in 1887 (lived about 1 year)

Husband of:
1st marriage - Ellen "Nellie" Mae (Elms) Morgan. They were married on June 30, 1903 until her death Nov 22, 1912.
2nd marriage - Thursie Irene Morgan(maiden name unknown). They were married in 1917 until her death July 20, 1970.

Ellrie had three sons with his first wife Nellie:
1) William Clarence Morgan
2) George Walter Morgan
3) John Alden Morgan

Ellrie had four children with his second wife Thursie:
1) Ellrie Morgan Jr
2) Alice Morgan
3) Lawrence Morgan
4) Harold Morgan

Stepfather to Nellie's child, a son from her 1st marriage:
1) Jesse Edward Witters (Jesse went to live with his paternal grandparents after Nellie died.)

Stepfather to Thursie's three children prior to Ellrie:
1) Vesta "Queen" Harkness
2) Kenneth Fredrick/Frederick
3) Anna Kimball/Kimble

Together Ellrie and Thursie raised all 10 children in Clymer, Indiana County, PA.

Some of Ellrie's children thought their father's middle name was Isaac, others thought it was John, and another thought it was Ivan. One son, Lawrence, thought his middle name was Ingram. It turned out he was correct. Ellrie's WWI draft card provided the proof. Unfortunately, before this proof was discovered Ellrie had died and the youngest son Harold had his tombstone and death certificate written with his middle name as John.

Ellrie was a lumberman like his father and most of his brothers. After about 1915/16 the family grew tired of constantly moving to follow the lumber camps and moved back to Pennsylvania. They settled in Clymer, Indiana County, PA from Somerset County, MD. Ellrie was widowed and had three (3) young boys to raise. His parents had been living with him to help care for his sons. When they grew too old and couldn't help with their care anymore, Ellrie went to the Indiana County workhouse to hire someone to help with cooking, cleaning, and the care of his unruly young sons. A woman named Thursie was sent for this job. After a few months they fell in love and married. Thursie already had three (3) children and Ellrie had three (3) too, so they had a full house but went on to have four (4) children of their own. Ellrie's two oldest son's by his deceased 1st wife did not accept their new stepmother very well and gave everyone a hard time. Bill ran away from home at age 14 and George ran off and got married at age 15. Later, after experiencing a little more of life, they came to accept their stepmother and got along. But until then, they were hellions even to their grandparents.
