Edward William Bronestine, 77, of LaGrange, died Saturday, Dec.22, in Canton, minutes after leaving a doctor's office.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the First Baptist Church in LaGrange. The Rev. Harold Dickerson and the Rev. Earl Grandstaff officiated. Burial was in Midway cemetery. Mr. Bronestine was born in Fall Creek, Ill., Dec 22, 1896, a son of Edward F. and Amelia Miller Bronestine. He was a member of the First Baptist church and was a retired farmer. He married Margaret Smith May 4, 1924.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Wayne of Ewing and Vern of LaGrange;three daughters, Mrs. Donald Lay of Canton, Mrs. Russell Pindell of LaGrange, and Mrs. Duane Trumblee of Lamont, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Smith of LaGrange, Mrs. Russell Bradshaw of LaGrange, and Mrs. Ralph Kirkham of Quincy; 22 grandchildren; a great grandchild and other relatives. He was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and one granddaughter.
