Abram Wayne Anderson

Mr. Abram Wayne Anderson, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, April 30, 2004, at The Oaks at Forsyth. He was born July 4, 1916, in Davie County to William Frank Anderson and Jessie Walker Anderson. Mr. Anderson retired from Western Electric as a supervisor with the company after 31 years. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II and was a member of Church of Christ Linville Forest, where he served as treasurer for 25 years. Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Hayden Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Laura Elizabeth Anderson; two sons, Larry Anderson and wife, Linda, of Clemmons and Ronnie N. Anderson and wife, Suzanne, of Seattle, Wash.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Frank Anderson and wife, Cynthia, of Kissimee, Fla., and Bruce Anderson of Mocksville; three sisters, Wilma Danner and husband, Vestal, of Mocksville, Margaret Boger of Mocksville and Joyce Goodman and husband, G.W., of Winston-Salem; and nieces and nephews. The service will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 2, at Vogler's Reynolda Road Chapel, officiated by Minister Jerry Weldon. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Church of Christ Linville Forest, 450 Linville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27284.
