Arturo Altamira Aguilar of Chandler passed away on November 15, 2009 in Chandler AZ he was 63 yrs old. He was born in San Antonio Texas on July 8, 1946 to Policarpio and Lola (Dolores) Aguilar. He joined the US Army at the age of 18 years old. He served in Vietnam in the First Platoon A Company 3/503d Inf. 173d ABN BDE (SEP). He was employed by the Department of Veteran's Affairs as a counselor for over 18 years. He was a great service to his fellow veterans and military personnel. He is survived by his wife of 22 yrs Guillermina of Chandler, son Arturo "Art" Aguilar Jr of Texas, two stepsons Francisco and Jose Aguilar of Chandler, seven grandchildren, His mother Dolores Aguilar of Texas two brothers and 3 sisters. Numerous family , friends, coworkers and military companions will miss his kindness, sense of humor and generosity. He will be remembered by all that knew him May he rest in peace. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 22, 2009 from 6PM to 8PM with Recitation of the Rosary at 7PM at Falconer Funeral Home 251 W Juniper Ave, Gilbert AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 23, 2009 at 1:PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 230 W Galveston St, Chandler AZ.
