Vivian Jean Swenson was born on June 4, 1941 on the family farm near Kamrar, IA. She was one of three children born to Donald and Clarice (Klaver) Golden.
Vivian received her education by attending various country schools and graduated from United Community School. After high school she attended A.I.B.
On November 11, 1962, Vivian was united in marriage to Larry K. Swenson in the St. John's United Methodist Church in Radcliffe. They resided on an acreage northwest of Radcliffe. She enjoyed caring for her family; sewing, quilting, crafts, cooking and baking. They moved into Radcliffe in 2006. Vivian has lived in Ames since April following some health issues.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Radcliffe.
Vivian passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at The Waterford at Ames assisted living facility
Those thankful for having shared her life include her two daughters Shalene and her husband Kelly Netcott of Kelley, IA and Gail and her husband Michael Brien of Ames, IA; son Ryan of Iowa Falls, IA; seven grandchildren; one sister Viola Miller of Ames, IA; one brother Larry Golden of Goldfield, IA; along with many other relatives and friends.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
