TEXAS CITY - Alf Burrell, 71, a retired construction worker, died Thursday at Clear Lake Hospital in Webster.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mainland Funeral Home of La Marque, the Rev. George Cartwright officiating.
Burial will be at Rising Star Cemetery In La Marque.
A wake will be held from 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Burrell was born July 22, 1912, in St. Augustine, Texas.
Survivors Include his wife, Mrs. Carrie Burrell of Texas City; seven daughters, Annie Mae Maxey, Vernell Neal, Elouise Yarbrough and Diane Burrell, all of Houston, Kathy
Evans of Texas City and Hattie Bedgood and Linda Sutton of Los Angeles; four sons, William Burrell of Los Angeles, Cleveland Burrell and Charles Burrell, both of Houston and Ricky Burrell of Texas City; four sisters, Mary Polk of St. Augustine, Ethel Blake of Lubbock, Luella Matthews of Texas City and Dorothy Day of Frezno, Calif, and 14 grandchildren.
Visitors may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be sent to Mainland Funeral Home
