Her oldest son visited her in the Los Angeles County USC Medical Center the night of 1 November 2008, with his wife and next oldest son, Roger, who had been acting as her caretaker. She had a massive stroke and a fall that afternoon. She died early the next morning. She was 90 years old when she died.
