An error on Pearl E. Anders grave. She is not the daughter of George Washington Anders and Hettie (not Hattie) Cross Anders. The George Washington Anders birth and death date belong to another George Washington Anders who married Sarah Evelyn Smith. She was born 2-7-1884 and her husband George Washington Anders was born 11-21-1881 Indian Territory Oklahoma. He died 4-29-1947. They are in the Caney Cemetery Tahlequah Cherokee, Oklahoma with other relatives. Hettie Cross Anders husband George Washington Anders Sr. was born 1859 and died between 1895 and 1900. I understand he was murdered. Hettie is listed as a widow on the 1900 census Indian Territory Cherokee Nation Township 10-Range 17 East Oklahoma. She is listed as a widow in 1905 in Kerbs, Pittsburg Oklahoma. Hettie is living with her son Sam Anders in St. Louis Pottawatomie Oklahoma in 1920. Hettie and George's Sr,s son George washington Anders Jr. born June 1888 married Nora Lee Patterson September 14, 1907 Choctaw Nation Marriage Index. He was 20 and Nora 14. Her father was William Fletcher Patterson and her mother was Annie B. Smith who died in childbirth. Nora was age 12 at that time. Errors are ok-it helps us find more info. Maybe we can help each other. I am also interested in the Cross, Patterson and Wright line. Would like to hear from you. My name is Sue Wright at [email protected]
