Darlington- Earl Holland, 48, died Saturday (Oct. 21, 1967) in a hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Apple River, Ill., and lived in the Darlington area most of his life. He was an employee of the Lafayette County Highway Department for the past 19 years, and was a member of the United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; two sons, MIchael in Hawaii, and Jeffrey, at home; three daughters, Julie, Lori and Tracy, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Helen Stucky, Freeport, Ill.; and a brother, Glenn, Shullsburg.

The funeral will be at 1:30 pm Monday in the church. Friends may call after 2 pm today at the Sharer Funeral Home.
