Found in The State 02 January 1964: Mrs. Lula Bell Coker Aaron, 87, of 751 Maryland Street, widow of Mr. General Hagood Aaron, died at a local nursing home early Wednesday morning. Mrs. Aaron was born in Eastover, a daughter of the late Ruben C. and Ellen Cooper Coker. She had spent most of her life in Richland County and was a member of Whaley Street Methodist Church, a member of the Helen Webb Bible Class and a member of Florence Darby Circle. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Ellen) Wilson, Cayce, S. C., Mrs. S. J. (Mozell) Reddick, Auburndale, Fla., Mrs. J. W. (Evangeline) Lovett, Mr. Howard D. (Ethel) Jackson, and Mrs. Robert F. (Frances) Lovett, all of Columbia; three sons, Mrs. William H. Aaron, New Zion, S. C., Mr. Walter D. Aaron, Cayce, S. C., and Mr. Collie L. Aaron, West Columbia. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Betty Grooms, Bishopville, 27 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from the Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street, Chapel, Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock conducted by Rev. Victor Ross and Rev. W. Lloyd Hellams. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
