Cecil L. Foster, 50, died at 9:35 o'clock this morning at the family home, 322 East 11th street. Mr. Foster, a resident of this city for 15 years, had been in failing health for the past several years.
Cecil Leo Foster was born in Hamilton county, Sept. 4, 1893, to Frank and Mary C. Foster and attained manhood in the community of his birth. On July 6, 1915, at Central City, he married Miss Ethyl Lois Matthew. They made their home on a farm near Central City until 1928, when they came to Grand Island to reside. Mr. Foster was employed by the Grand Island Commission company and by other employers during the family's residence here.
He is survived by his wife, 14 children, Mrs. Clarence Schaub of Kearney, Ms. Gerald Roark of Denver, Colo., Pfc. Frank Foster with the U. S. Army in England, Pvt. Fred Foster, with the army in the Aleutians, Pvt. Cecil Foster, Jr., in the army at Nashville, Tenn., Jasper Foster, Bobby Foster, Perry Dale Foster, Ethyl Foster, Carol Foster, and Herschel Foster, all at home; his aged father, Frank Foster, of this city; two brothers, C. V. Foster of Andeerson Dam, Idaho and T. D. Foster of Hot Springs, S. D. Three infant children, his mother, Mrs. Mary Foster, and a brother, Forest J. Foster, preceded him in death. Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word from relatives at a distance. Inquires may be directed to the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home.
