Age 81∼Muddy Creek. Irene Brooks was born in Fayette county, Indiana, February 1, 1839. There she lived and grew to womanhood. After her marriage to Joseph B. Dale she moved to Jamesport, Mo., from there they came to Kansas and settled in Sedgwick county. From there she moved to the vicinity of Meriden, where they resided until the time of his death. After the death of her husband she made her home with her nephew, John Elliott, of Hoyt until November 1st, 1914, when she was married to Wm. Elliott of Sterling. The remaining years of her life were spent at Sterling, where she passed away on Friday, October 28. During the last few years of her life she was a great sufferer, having entirely lost her speech over a year ago. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, a brother, Aurelius Brooks, of Parsons ...
