Tucker E. Woodson, son of Pryor Woodson (1795-1870) and the former Josephine Ables (1793-1860) was an ordained Baptist Minister.
During the Civil War, Woodson enlisted in Albemarle Light Artillery Regiment Virginia on 3 Jul 1861; was promoted to Full Corporal on 15 Feb 1865. And surrendered with the Albemarle Light Artillery Regiment Virginia on 9 Apr 1865 at Appomattox Court House, Virginia.
On June 1st 1879, Rev. Woodson married Agatha Abney, daughter of Col. Joseph and Susan (née Miller) Abney of Edgefield, South Carolina; with whom he had seven children.
