John Frank Macek was born in Endicott, New York and was one of nine (9) children to Joseph & Anastasia Macek and was the father to Patricia (my mother), Carol and Jeanne.
Every February 18th, my grandfather would walk almost 7 miles (each way) no matter the weather conditions (mainly in the snow) to visit her gravesite.
On March 9, 2002, at the age of 87 my grandfather began a new journey when he passed away in Melbourne, Florida and was greeted by his youngest daughter Jeanne whom he has not seen in almost 57 years.
