ANDREW EBERT SR. (d. 1982)

Andrew Ebert Sr., 77, of 10902 Hilltop Road, Cato, died Tuesday evening, June 22, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Heymen and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ebert was born Sept. 4, 1904 in the Town of Franklin, son of the late Jacob and Anna Fritsch Ebert. He attended St. Michael Catholic School. He married Loretta Schambureck Nov. 24, 1927 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The couple farmed in the town of Cato. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1977. Mr. Ebert was a life member of Francis Creek Sportsman’s Club.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy of Route 2, Manitiowoc, Jerome and Betty of Manitowoc, Andrew Jr. and Diana of Cato; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and Fritz Haelfrisch of route 2, Reedsville, Jeanette and John Sheahan of Cato, Generose and Donald Bartels and Germaine and Charles Biely of Manitowoc, Loretta and Hank Sheahan of route 1, Reedsville, Anna Marie and Kenneth Kasianowicz of St. Francis, Wis., and Patricia and James Reindl of Manitowoc; two brothers, John of Whitelaw and Michael of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Clara) Goehring of Cato and Mrs. Elmer (Margaret) Griese of Manitowoc; 38 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two infant sons; two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday until the time of services. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday by Father Heyman.
