RACKLEY, David Harold Jr., 68, of N. Chesterfield, passed away February 25, 2013. Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., he was preceded in death by his father, David Harold Rackley. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Rackley; son, David H. Rackley III (JoAnn); two daughters, Shannon R. Holloman (Sonny) and Cherie Rackley; four grandchildren, Dylan, Chesney, Peyton, and Layne; his mother, Helen G. Rackley; two sisters, Pamela Smith and Wanda Perkins (Les), and a number of nieces, nephews and family friends. Mr. Rackley was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a former employee of Reynolds Metals and Donlavey Racing. He was a big fan of grilling out regardless of the weather and was a die-hard Tar Heels fan. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, March 1, at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia. Arrangements are by the Chesterfield Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home.
