John Norman Armstrong

John Norman Armstrong, 48, of Moss Bluff, died Thursday, February 28, in a Lake Charles Hospital.

Mr. Armstrong was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and lived most of his life in the Lake Charles area. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Republic Services in Welsh, La.

Mr. Armstrong was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved New Orleans Saints Football.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Menard Armstrong of Moss Bluff; one daughter, Heather Armstrong of Lake Charles; three sons, Jeremy Armstrong and his wife Jessica of Moss Bluff, Denny Istre of Kansas City, Missouri, and David Armstrong of Moss Bluff; his mother, Linda Brady of Moss Bluff; one brother, Thomas Armstrong of Mountain Home, AR; two sisters, Lynn Tete and her husband Greg of and Brandy Brady all of Moss Bluff. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jayden and Jaylee Armstrong and Haven Guillory.

Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his father, Bill Brady; his paternal grandparents Archie and Mildred Armstrong; and maternal grandparents, John and Geneva Cook.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 2, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Charles. The Reverend Steve Cox will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday and from 8:00 AM until time of services on Saturday.
