MRS E. MAUCH PASSES AWAY

ONE OF THE OLDEST RESIDENTS OF THE VICINITY RESPONDS TO THE LAST CALL

Mrs. Elizabeth Mauch died at her home on Elm Street in this village at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, after a long and painful illness.

Deceased was born in the town of Ashford on May 4th 1856, and has spent her whole lie in this vicinity, having lived in Ashford until about ten years ago, when she moved to this village. One year ago last Saturday, Mrs. Mauch submitted to an operation for cancer of the liver, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac., but the operation did not seem to have the desired effect and she gradually failed in health until nine weeks ago she was compelled to take to her bed, always being a patient sufferer until death relieved her. Her husband preceded her in death about thirteen years ago.

Mrs. Mauch is survived by one son, Benny of Fond du Lac; four daughters, Theresa, (Mrs. Martin Jaeger) Lena, (Mrs. Will Jaeger) of Ashford, Lizzie (Mrs. John Kahut) of Ladysmith, and Mary at home; Five brothers, Nick, Mike and Phillip Bonesho of Milwaukee, John and Steve Bonosho of this village and one sister Mrs. Mary Jo Hann of Eau Claire.

The funeral will be held from St. Matthew's church on Saturday morning at 8:15 o'clock, Internment taking place at Union cemetery.
