Edwin Hillmann, 72, of R. 2, Brillion, a prominent town of Brillion farmer died Wednesday night at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
Mr. Hillmann, a dealer in raw furs, was a director of the Farmers State Bank, Potter for 26 years, and served as branch secretary and treasurer of the Aid Association for Lutherans for 32 years. He was treasurer of the Hawthorne School District for 12 years and was a member of the conservation Congress of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Fur Committee and the Wisconsin Natural Resources Committee.
Born March 6, 1896 in the town of Rantoul, Mr. Hillmann was a son of the late Carl and Augusta Riemer Hillmann. On Oct 19, 1920 he married the former Mabel Rohrdanz at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ruben (Germaine) Klessig of R. 4, Chilton; one son, Donald of R. 2, Brillion; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Rudy Schnell and Mrs. James Reed, both of Green Bay and Mrs. John Kirby of DePere, and four brothers, Roland of Brillion, Henry of Potter, Milford of New Holstein and Carl of Reedsville. One son, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
