The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, at Hanes-Lineberry, North Elm Chapel. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, Mrs. Quate was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife and devoted mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Theodore Quate; son, Clyde Theodore Quate and step-daughter, Marie Quate Powers.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Quate of Greensboro; and four sons, Edgar Bowman Quate of Rockingham County, Albert A. Quate of Greensboro, Marshall Quate and wife, Eula of Greensboro and Dickie L. Quate and wife, Sue of Guilford County; daughter-in-law, Endra Quate of Randleman; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
