BIDDEFORD - Isabelle Binette Jones, R.N., 77, of 22 Decary Road, died Tuesday at the Maine Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Biddeford, July 15, 1914, a daughter of Frank X. and Marie Louise Fournier Emond. She was educated at the Presentation of Mary in Hudson, NH, St. Joseph High School in Biddeford and was a graduate of the Webber Hospital School of Nursing in Biddeford. She was head nurse of the surgical floor at the Webber Hospital for many years and did extensive private duty nursing in the hospital and in patient's homes, including at the home of author, Kenneth Roberts. Mrs. Jones was a communicant of St. Andre's Church and a member of the Webber Hospital Alumni Association. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, needlepoint and other hand crafts. She was generous with the articles she handcrafted, giving them to others. Her first husband, Conrad Binette, died in 1974. Surviving are her husband of 13 years, Alexander Jones of Biddeford; a son, Marc E. Binette of Hudson, NH; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Secuso of Winchester, Mass., and Mrs. Donald (Louise) LaRoche of Old Orchard Beach; seven sisters, Theresa Tully and Claire Grimaldi of Portland, Gertrude Conroy, Florence Emond and Frances Boilard of Biddeford, Cecile Fecteau of Saco, and Bernadette DesRoberts of Augusta; two stepsons, Donald Jones and Aubrey Jones of Weston, Mass.; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and six step grandchildren.
