This afternoon at 6 o’clock the remains of E. B. Moore were also laid to rest. He was a noted Christian character, and one of Guntersville’s oldest citizens; was long connected with one of the staunch business houses of this place. He was 67 years old.

Commissioned May 23, 1861 as a First Lieutenant (1Lt; later promoted to Captain); Age 31; Volunteer; Marital Status: Single; Occupation: Merchant; Guntersville, Alabama.
Engagements: Present at: the Siege of Yorktown April 1862 (commission expired April, 1862 at Yorktown when promoted Captain); Absent Sick: Williamsburg 1862/05/05; Present at: Seven Pines 1862/06/01, Gaines Mill 1862/06/27, Frazers Farm 1862/06/30, 2nd Manassas/2nd Bull Run 1862/08/30; Absent Sick: Sharpsburg 1862/09/17; Present: Fredricksburg 1862/12/13; Absent Sick: Salem Church 1863/05/03.
