Funeral services for Robert E. "Bob" Allen, 69, of Richmond, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. Carl Spradley will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Bob was born Aug. 29, 1934 in Sacramento, Calif. to Alonzo and Opal Allen. He passed away Jan. 29, 2004 in Richmond. He was a retired Deputy with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in California, the Korean War Veteran's Association, and American Legion Post No. 271. He served in the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean Conflict.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Opal Allen; sister, Margaret Jones; and brother, Richard Allen.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Angie Mata Allen of Richmond; children, Roberta Allen of Fla., Arlene Corrals of Santa Rosa, Calif., Tracy Guerrero and husband, Eddie, of Rosenberg, Jovian Mata of Rosenberg, Joseph Mata of Lafayette, La., B.J. Mata of Austin; 14 grandchildren; brother, Ed Allen and wife, Mackey, of Grants Pass, Ore.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
