Gene C. Weger, 71, of Hesperia, passed away April 9, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born June 25, 1942 to Shelber “Jack” Weger & Leila M. (Frees) Weger. Gene lived most of his life in Ferry Township & has lived in Newfield Twp since 2007. In his younger years he drove semi-truck. Gene was employed at Howmet Corporation for 24 years. He loved to watch the Detroit Tigers & listen to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio. He enjoyed squirrel, rabbit & deer hunting. Gene is survived by his children, Hope Burmeister, Patricia (Jose) Cruz, Lela (Jose) Torrez & Travis Weger; 11 grdchildren & brother, David (Janie) Weger. He was preceded in death by his parents.
